The Wellness Department includes Health, Physical Education as well as Family and Consumer Sciences courses, support Grafton High School's mission to to prepare all of our students intellectually, physically, and socially for their role as lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
Health is a half year course that is taken during student's sophomore year. The other half of the year, students can enroll in one of the PE courses, Creative Crafts or another elective.
Students must earn 4 semesters of Physical Education Courses during their four years of high school. The three main course offered are Team Sports, Lifetime Activities and Personal Fitness, which are half year courses. Student may also enroll in an Independent Study to be a mentor students with special needs in the Adaptive PE course
Freshman can also enroll in Early Childhood, Foods & Nutrition, (full year courses) and Creative Crafts which is a half year course. These course teach students real life skills that they use now and in the future
In Early Childhood, the important early childhood developmental milestones are explored and applied to their own lives and/or future responsibilities as parents, teachers and other child-related professions.
