"MEANINGFUL VOTE improving and was probably a bit weak last year. He's an idle horse and Conor Maxwell has done a good job with him. He rides him in all his work and rode him in his last two races but unfortunately couldn't ride him with the weight. We ran into one at Gowran and as a result were 10lb higher today in a better quality race. He's done it well and probably needed it a bit in Gowran as he wouldn't kill himself at home. He'll probably get a bit further too" - Fozzy Stack

RP ANALYSIS: A useful race and the improving winner got the job done. MEANINGFUL VOTE was settled off the pace, Chris Hayes came to the inner to try and make his challenge and a gap opened up just when he wanted it, and without really breaking stride he went through it and had plenty of momentum inside the last. Having gone up 10lb for finishing second at Gowran last time, this was a considerable effort. He does need an ease in the ground and if he got in a the bottom of a race like the big mile handicap at Galway he would be respected, especially as he has won there before.

Next raceday Wednesday, 22nd July
