The PVC celebrated its 20th year in 2016-17

The PVC continues to provide programming and events that benefit more than 1,000 Princeton varsity student-athletes across 37 varsity athletic programs, while providing critical financial flexibility to the Department of Athletics.

551 total PVC donors in 2016-17

The PVC continues to grow its general membership through its Annual Member, Service Circle and Earn Your Stripes (young alumni) programs.

210 PVC Lifetime Members

The PVC also secured 31 new Lifetime Members in 2016-17, pushing total Lifetime commitments over 200 (program was introduced in 2010)

TIGERS IN THE COMMUNITY

The PVC has sponsored 28 student-athletes' participation in "Coach for College" since 2013
The PVC sponsored 7 student-athletes in Summer 2016 to travel to Vietnam to participate in "Coach for College," a 3-week teaching program that integrates school, athletics and life skills
Over 170 varsity student-athletes participated in the Youth Sports Clinic in conjuncture with Community & Staff Day
Student-athletes made 11 visits to Princeton and Trenton elementary schools in 2016-17 as part of "Reading with the Tigers"
35 student-athletes helped prepare a number of Princeton community gardens for the spring planting season

The PVC's Seasonal Coaches Luncheons provide an opportunity for PVC Members, community partners and campus affiliates to hear directly from our outstanding Tiger head coaches and student-athletes.

PNC Bank Student-Athlete Achiever Award

PNC Bank, a proud partner of Princeton Athletics, recognizes two student-athletes per season for their achievement in the classroom, community and field of play, and presents the award as part of each luncheon.

PVC "ON THE ROAD"

The PVC hosts programming and events at various locations throughout the country in an effort to stay connected to Princeton Athletics alumni and friends. 2016-17 stops included Washington D.C., New York City, Honolulu, Philadelphia, Boston, etc.

TIGER ATHLETICS GIVE DAY

More than 8,500 donors participated in TAGD on November, 29, 2016, collectively contributing more than $1.9 million to Princeton Athletics.

The PVC Board of Directors & Advisory Committee provided $195,000 in bonus funds in FY17 to drive competition around most donors and total dollars raised. This group of PVC leaders has now contributed nearly $500,000 of bonus funds in support of TAGD since its inception in 2014.

Ashleigh Johnson '17 (women's water polo) and Spencer Weisz '17 (men's basketball) were the top student-athlete award winners, receiving the Von Kienbusch and Roper Awards, respectively
