What and Why we love fast food? By: Maraia Shaw

Do you ever dream of biting into a big hamburger from Mcdonalds or Burger King or helping yourself to a french fry mmm yummy! Well I hate to break it to you but all of these foods are unhealthy for you and your body!

They are full of Carbohydrates, fats, and sugar! You are probably thinking isn't carbohydrates good for you? Only some Carbohydrates are good for you and that you might catch yourself eating some like fruit,whole grain bread and even potatoes! The other side of carbohydrates are sugar,white bread,white rice and white pasta! You calories should come from half of carbohydrates! If you eat too much bad Carbohydrates this leads to diabetes! Fast food is typically high in fat (I guess we all know this right?) Also fast food doesn't have enough nutrients that we need a day , but also fast food is lacking in fruits, vegetables, and Fiber. Fast food is also loaded with calories, sugar, sodium, and fat!

Why do we go eat fast food?

We eat fast food mostly when we are on the go. In a child's perspective the choice of food that we eat is based on taste. Fast food satisfies the taste and for children all ages and parents find it a cheap and easy meal! But why would a parent feed their children these foods that are high in fat and sugar! Because it is cheap and it saves time and it is delicious! Now in a hard workers perspective they find fast food cheap and affordable and quick!
