Encourage Physical Activity

Physical activity has an impact on cognitive skills, attitudes and academic behavior. All of these are important components in academic performance. Physical activity can also enhance attention and classroom behavior.

Do your part! Get your kids active at home!

Encourage Creativity

Fine arts can have a tremendous impact on a students academic performance. Studies show that with the incorporation of fine arts, students performed better on standardized test, had better social skills and were more motivated than students who did not have fine arts incorporated into their education. Studies also show that there is a link between fine arts and reading, writing, and math skills.

Encourage your kids to be creative at home!

Fine arts includes, but is not limited to, painting, dance, drawing, drama theater, and music

Reduce Stress

Believe it or not, stress plays a huge part in students ability to focus and learn. Childhood stress is caused by a lot of things. The students can get stressed by overwhelming demands being made and their ability to meet them. Children can also get stressed out by things they cannot control. Hearing parents arguing or talking about problems at home can stress students out. One thing parents can do is try not to discuses household issues (that the child cannot control) in front of the child.

Let's work together to reduce childhood stress!

It Takes Two

In order for your student to become the best he or she can be, it will take us working together as a team. We both need to advocate for the student and these are just a few tips on how you can do your part in making a successful student.
