Prosper Band News August 15, 2021

Just a Note...

The first "week" of school has passed and we are going forward! Thank you to all of the parents who have ensured that our students are in place and on time, fed, and are properly taken care of as we navigate through our after-school rehearsals. The students have been doing a great job and are getting better every day.

We had a GREAT time at last night's Meet the Eagles. The turn out was tremendous and it was so much fun to perform for the crowd and recognize our seniors.

Thank you, parents, for your support and love for the Prosper Mighty Eagle Band. The amount of logistics that go into an event such as Meet the Eagles are extensive, and we appreciate the feedback people have given. We will continue to work with our wonderful administration and event organizers to discuss changes we can make for all events to give our students and community members an even greater experience! The Prosper Mighty Eagle Band is involved in MANY activities and events throughout the year and we are so excited to continue to feature them in every opportunity that we get!

As we continue the school year, it is important that all of the students are well prepared for taking care of themselves physically by eating healthy foods and snacks throughout the day.

We have been encouraging our students to carry around food in their backpacks that can give them a quick and healthy energy boost. Things like granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, and energy bars are great ways to quickly boost their energy and maintain a healthy diet throughout the day. Parents, please help your students by having some easy non-perishable items that they could keep in their backpack for a quick hunger buster snack.

Calendar for the week of August 16th.

Absence Requests

Prosper Mighty Eagle Band members are expected to be at all rehearsals, events and performances as listed on the Prosper Band Google Calendar. We understand that unavoidable conflicts may sometimes arise, but it is important that all students are present as we cannot teach an empty spot or chair. It is the student's responsibility to obtain all material that was missed and makeup the time appropriately. If you have attempted all aspects of working around this conflict, but cannot come up with a solution, please fill out the following absence request form ASAP.
