More About Jim
Happy 55th birthday shoutout to Jim Carrey...his birthday is in 4 days! It’s pretty safe to say that Jim Carrey is considered elite when it comes to acting, especially in the genre of comedy. Although you may not know it, Jim Carrey has dealt with major depression for a significant portion of his life. In fact, at one point, his depression became so bad, that he didn’t know how he would overcome it. Like many people, he sought out help from a doctor and was prescribed Prozac. Jim was depressed from factors like family problems, he suffered from ADHD and the fact that he was a comedian shows that he could be experiencing and battling with some sort of trauma that he turns into a joke. He does have some hobbies other than joking and that is things like painting, sculpting and reading.

He went to all catholic schools like the blessed trinity catholic school, Aldershot elementary, North view Heights Secondary and Agincourt Collegiate Institute. After moving away to Scarborough to gain a fresh start, Jim enrolled in many schools but never was able to complete any schooling there either, he had to help with economic problems and his mother was dealing with a chronic illness.

Carrey first gained recognition after landing a recurring role in Sketch comedy series, In loving color. "If you aren't in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty or back to pain and regret" - Jim Carrey
I believe that Jim is important to Canada because he gives us a really good sense of Humor. He is definitely someone you can look up to for inspiration.. he had a very rough childhood, was unable to finish school but ended out becoming one of the best comedians we have ever seen in Canada.
