Notes from the President District Update | May 31, 2020

Hello Falcon Families!

Our team has loved seeing the posts from our families of our grads! Thank you Mr. Marowelli and the Williams' family for helping to coordinate getting the grad signs out to our families.

Wrapping Up Our Winter Term

Falcons, this is the last week of our winter term! This will be the last week that our faculty post new material and assignments in Schoology. Stay focused through the finish!

Remember that you are able to earn and receive credit for your core classes during this time by participating and submitting your assignments through Schoology. We will be determining fall course placement and progress based on credit earned and courses completed during this time. Students' GPAs will not be affected based on the remote learning during this time of closure so that students who where unable to engage will not be negatively impacted. We will also stay true to our skills-based learning approach and ensuring that students are proficient before progressing, so there will be no social promotion moving into the fall.

Students who do not demonstrate full proficiency with their skills and earn credit in their core classes during this time, will continue with these courses and skills in the fall. We are focused on making sure that our students are prepared and successful rather than pushing any students ahead only to struggle do to being unprepared.

Falcons, buckle-down, show your grit, and complete your work. This is your week! You can do this!

Pandemic-EBT program

There have been a few questions from our families regarding the Pandemic-EBT program that provides students/families financial assistance for food based on the national school lunch program. Unfortunately, our students/families will not qualify for the Pandemic-EBT program. Running the national school lunch program was a pre-qualifier.

Please remember that any of our students can go pick up meals at any of the school meals sites located on this MAP.
