The RBM Partnership to End Malaria: Celebrating 20 Years Social media toolkit

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

In 1998, the original Roll Back Malaria Partnership was launched in New York by UNDP, UNICEF, WHO and the World Bank. On 30 October 2018, the RBM Partnership to End Malaria marks 20 years. Enormous progress has been made since 1998. We want to celebrate the successes of the partnership over the last 20 years but we also want to look ahead at what we want to achieve in the next 20 years as well. Please join us in celebrating the achievements that have been made so far as part of the global effort to eliminate malaria.

HASHTAGS and HANDLES

The theme of the 20th anniversary social media campaign is ‘Malaria Memories.’ We’ll be looking back at highlights in the fight against malaria in the past 20 years and would love partners to share theirs too, using the hashtags #malariamemories and #endmalaria. On both Twitter and Facebook the RBM Partnership is @endmalaria.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

  • Post photographs of your favourite #malariamemories or ‘selfies’ from any events or meetings you attend around the anniversary on social media using #malariamemories
  • Use the polaroid-style images of important malaria events and initiatives from the last 20 years which are available to download and share on social media here
  • Share The RBM Partnership 20th Anniversary #malariamemories campaign video, located here: https://youtu.be/iuq6-H1HuAM.
  • Don't forget to use the NEW mosquito emoji, available on Apple and Android devices soon!
