Every Mile A Memory MY trip around italy

My trip to Italy to this day carries a special in place in my heart. My very first stop was the city of Genoa and being carried away by the salty smell of the Mediterranean breeze was a memory itself. Then to the village of Portofino where the mountains meet the sea, it’s certainly one of the eight wonders of the world. Next was the city of art, Florence, and it’s easy to understand why. On Ponte Vecchio Bridge, where before my eyes stand such an ethereal sunset with no doubt I’d attempt to paint it for the rest of my life. I've never seen anything as beautiful. Of course, we did not forget to admire the leaning Tower of Pisa; it was the next stop before leaving to my favorite city. Off to the city of canals and gondolas gliding to beautiful places we go. Venice is out of this world. Its bridges that lead to another beautiful alley, the life in it and everything about it is too good to be true. Caffe Florian in St Mark’s Square and its breathtaking ambiance was an experience itself. And let me tell you this, it does not look a day over 297 years. Hang in there, this the last mile of my trip around Italy, the city of Milan. It was the city where I shopped till I literally dropped; clearly, it is Europe’s fashion capital. I’ll end this with the view of Milan’s Cathedral and a bite of Pizzeria Spontini’s Margherita. Italy you were great to me.

SEE ITALY IN MOTION

Looks like we've made it!

Before I end my journey with you let me conclude all my thoughts on my trip to Italy. I definitely recommend you to take this journey with your loved ones. My trip was a duration of 6 days and 4 stops, which became exhausting during the last two days. Therefore, you should totally extend your stay if you can. And if I were do something differently about this trip, I would skip Genoa and start at Portofino but I would have to book way ahead of time due to hotels there being fully booked all year round. All the hotels I listed above are all so beautifully furnished and the service is even better. As for food, there were many restaurants and cafes I went to but you wouldn’t want to miss out on Caffè Florian in Venice and both Pizzeria Spontini and Paper Moon in Milan.
