The stamp act was how the Colonists reacted when the British declared that anything made out of paper needed a stamp or you would be taxed. The problem was that the Colonists were going into debt. The reason the British did this was so then the British could get out of debt.

My picture is the aftermath of the French and Indian war. The British are giving the Colonists taxes AFTER the Colonists just helped them in the war. The war caused both the Colonists and the British to go into debt. The picture that I made resembles Irony because the Colonists are so happy that they just won the war, and then their allies started taxing them.
