#NCAAMGym Week 9 Power Rankings The Rankings Beyond Oklahoma? Take Your Best Guess

Every week we release a "Power Rankings" which aim to provide a fluid picture of how each team across the NCAA is doing at the moment. The idea is to try not to focus too much on scores and more on the current state of the team. The + or - next to a team's name represents how much they moved up (+) or down (-) since the previous week's PR.

1. Oklahoma Sooners (-)

It was a good week for Oklahoma when you consider they kept the streak alive and were able to rest key competitors. Only two regular season meet remain on the schedule and the main objective at this point is to stay healthy as possible.

Next Meet: @Illinois on March 17th

2. Stanford Cardinal (-)

The consistency factor hasn't exactly been there all year, but I still believe Stanford is the second-best team in the country. A 400.85 and loss to Ohio State last weekend doesn't support that, but a having to count a pair of 11's suggests that it was a couple of big mistakes that cost them. The Cardinal's regular season is officially wrapped up.

Next Meet: MPSF Championships on April 7th

3. Nebraska Cornhuskers (-)

Nebraska didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: @Penn State on March 17th

4. Illinois Fighting Illini (+1)

The Illini are trending up following a convincing victory over Air Force & UIC. Two things were especially encouraging: better production on PH and they seem to be getting healthier. Justin Spring has his team on the right track as the regular season nears the end.

Next Meet: Home vs. Oklahoma on March 17th

5. Minnesota Golden Gophers (-1)

Here begins a stretch of five teams that are really hard to rank. Minnesota is coming off a pair of rough meets, score-wise. They're better than both weeks reflected as vault was uncharacteristically bad against Iowa & Air Force. They unfortunately don't have the luxury of having a bad rotation on a good event because of the lack of scoring on SR (and sometimes PH).

Next Meet: Home vs. Cal-Berkeley on March 18th

6. Michigan Wolverines (-)

Michigan didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: @Navy vs. Navy and William & Mary on March 17th

7. Ohio State Buckeyes (-)

You might as well consider seven being a tie between Ohio State and Iowa. While the Buckeyes didn't blow it out of the water against Stanford, it was still a road win against the second-best team in the country. Regardless of circumstances, that's a resume booster. Still, it's obvious at this point that this team struggles without both Melton & Yoder doing all six events.

Next Meet: Home vs. Oklahoma on March 23rd

8. Iowa Hawkeyes (-)

Iowa has hit routines at an impressive clip the past two weeks. It's resulted in a pair of B1G upsets and puts the Hawkeyes in a good spot to grab a top-three finish at B1G's and top-six at NCAA's. Bennet Huang has been one of the best freshmen in the NCAA this year and gives Iowa something good to build on.

Next Meet: @Nebraska vs. NEB & Minnesota on March 24th

9. Penn State Nittany Lions (-)

Penn State got back on track this week with a win over Arizona State & Navy. They're still dealing with some health issues as Favian Valdez & Parker Clayton have yet to return. Sam Zakutney is also slowly getting back into things; he competed one event last weekend after missing the previous two meets.

Next Meet: Home vs. Nebraska on March 17th

10. Cal Golden Bears (+2)

When you look at their schedule, Cal has really only had one bad meet all year. Aside from the 384.65 at Stanford, they've been over 390 in every meet. They competed very well in a tough environment (@Oklahoma) which is enough to push them into the top-ten.

Next Meet: @Minnesota on March 18th

11. Navy Midshipmen (-1)

Navy has certainly cooled off since stringing together three consecutive 400+ team scores. They couldn't take care of Arizona State last weekend (mainly due to PH) and will try to get back on track with one regular season meet to go. Luckily, it will be at home -- the first time they've been back since February 3.

Next Meet: Home vs. William & Mary and Michigan on March 17th

12. Air Force Falcons (-1)

I'm not sure how they make it work, but for the second time in 2018, Air Force competed twice in one weekend. Unfortunately, their two scores counted as their lowest of the year (though not by much). The problem this weekend was PH, an event where they've been very strong all season and still rank No. 6 in the NCAA.

Next Meet: USAG National Team Finals on March 30th

13. Arizona State Sun Devils (+1)

Competing at home, the Sun Devils took down the best team in the ECAC (Navy). It was a great bounce-back meet after bottoming out at a 376 the previous weekend at Iowa. Other good news for Arizona State was Kiwan Watts' return to the all-around where he posted a season-best 80.85.

Next Meet: @California vs. Cal & Washington on March 24th

14. William & Mary Tribe (+1)

William & Mary popped on Senior Day to the tune of a 398.85. It was just the second time all season where they scored 63+ on all six events. If Saturday was any indication, maybe the Tribe is ready to make a push at defending their ECAC title.

Next Meet: @Navy vs. Navy & Michigan on March 17th

15. Army Black Knights (-2)

Army ends up splitting the last two weeks against William & Mary. Their score this past weekend was actually the higher of the two by 2.9 points, they just couldn't keep up with the Tribe. They've got one more regular season meet to try and get back into the 390's.

Next Meet: @Springfield on March 18th

16. Springfield Pride (-)

Springfield didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: Home vs. Army on March 18th

17. Washington Huskies (-)

Washington didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: @California vs. Cal & Arizona State on March 24th

18. UIC Flames (-)

UIC made an improvement from week eight to nine but it still will take a lot to get back into the 370's. Asad Jooma is having a nice season on VT for the Flames as he climbed into the top-30 this week.

Next Meet: @Michigan on March 31st

19. Temple Owls (-)

Temple didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: USAG Nationals on March 30th

20. SC United (-)

SC United didn't compete in week nine and didn't move in the rankings.

Next Meet: USAG Nationals on March 30th
