RIPON SHOWCASE - BOYS 3/24/2018

The boys team brought over a small team to participate in the first high school meet held at the Wilmore Complex at Ripon College. The team scored a total of 5 points, accomplished 5 personal bests, 1 season best, established 1 personal best, and set 1 school record.

Carter Samples continues to improve on his speed. Carter ran for a Mosinee Junior record of 7.63 breaking his tie with senior Justin Stubbe.

Carter also ran in the 200m dash and ran a time of 24.71 to finish just outside of placing. His time was only .002 seconds off of his life-time best that he ran last year, which he ran outdoors. He concluded his meet with a lifetime best 18'05 in the long jump.

Freshman Cyle Kowalski got his first opportunity to show his abilities the athleticism.

Cyle started his night by running a 56.71 400m winning his heat which puts him as the #2 freshman in Mosinee. The school record for the 400m is 54.21 which was set by Derek Nechuta back in 2004 (outdoor).

Cyle also long jumped personal best 18'11.5 placing 7th and earning him his first varsity points.

He also ran 26.00 in the 200m dash.

Wyatt Beyerl continues to show the results of hard work. Wyatt lives in the weight room and on the speed training runway and his efforts have been paying off. Wyatt ran 7.85 in the 60m dash which ranks him 12th in Mosinee.

Other Results:

Despite the fact the the opening height exceeded his personal best, Maxx Kaiser new that nothing great was ever accomplished in your comfort zone. Maxx cleared opening height which established a new personal record of 9'06 placing him 10th for the meet. The video (sorry for the poor quality) can be found here.

Jose Mohr threw for a season best 40'07 placing 6th for the meet.

Finn Firkus threw 39'01 establishing another personal best, this time by 2'06.25 (his mark 1 week ago). He is pursuing the sophomore shot put record of 42'09.5 set back in 2011.

Justin Martin triple jumped a distance of 31'07.
