Project 3 by JJ Ratzlaff

These pieces originated from a unique design that was inspired by the film, Star Wars Episode VII. In the film, a similar piece is used as a digital storage device containing a map to Luke Skywalker. To make this piece come alive, I created a QR code and printed it on to the bottom of the FDM piece. I also printed a SLA version of the design with higher resolution.
This design was laser cut into a piece of 1/8 inch thick wood. I made a keychain for my friend, Jake smith. I included his phone number in case his keys were found by someone else.
This design is also inspired by Star Wars. The logo is based off the crest for the Rebel Alliance. I sketched the design using the three point arc feature and mirroring.
