Description: Students are asked to read a fiction or nonfiction book, book series, short story, poem, essay, or speech (excluding song lyrics) and write to the author (living or dead) about how the book affected them personally. Letters are judged on state and national levels. Students in grades 4-12, are eligible to enter.

Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project

Description: Students will write a 2-3 paper, double spaced, answering one of the essay topics about King Sejong. Students 11-15 years old are eligible to enter.

Description: Students must create a film on one of many given topics related to the Earth. Students ages 3+ are eligible to enter.

Girls Impact the world film festival

Description: Student must submit a 3-6 minute short film that raises awareness about critical issues affecting women and girls around the world OR propose solutions to critical challenges faced by women. Students 8th grade, to under the age of 25, are eligible to enter.

Association of Women in mathematics essay contest

Description: Students will write a 500-1000 word essay based primarily on an interview with a woman currently working in a mathematical career. Contest is open to students grades 6 - 12.
