In science we are learning about fossils and so far we have learned what the purpose of fossils and what the meaning of fossil is.

this is a jelly fish fossil these fossils are very rare you will not see these fossils on an everyday bacis

fossil: the trace or remains of an organism that lived long ago. Mold: is a hollow area in sediment in the shape of an organism or part of an organism.

fossils form when living things die and are buried by sediment.

this is a fossil buried by sediment
this is also a fossil burried by sediments

words you need to know in advance are petrified fossils, casts, carbon film, trace fossil, paleontologist, evolution, and extinct.
