Nene Valley Festival 2020!

We were so excited to deliver our best Nene Valley Festival yet this year, having smashed our target in 2019 and delivering 161 events to 41,500 participants (up from 31,000 in 2018). We will look to mark our September 2020 date with some announcements of key projects and campaigns coming up. Our festival will then return back to it's normal September date in 2021.

Enterprise Centre, East Northants

Enterprise Centre, East Northants will offer start-up and growing businesses first-rate flexible workspace and business support when the new £8 million state-of-the-art facility opens at Warth Park, Raunds in summer 2020.

Nenescape Update

Despite Nenescape’s activities looking a little different over the last few months, we’ve nonetheless stayed busy. Our partners at Stanwick Lakes leading on the Settlers of the Nene Valley project have launched a range of homeschooling packs, which have been added to lockdown activity pages on the Nenescape and Nene Valley websites. We are also running a River Nene-inspired song-writing competition, open until 31 August. As lockdown eases, some of our project sites are beginning to welcome visitors back, including at Nene Park and boating and angling activities on the river itself.

We are looking forward to working with our partners the Wildlife Trust and River Nene Regional Park over the coming months to get back to engaging with landowners and farmers in our habitat improvement and river restoration projects. While more of us are exploring our local area by foot or bike, we are also exploring options for improving green transport routes along the river with the Greenway partnership. It is thanks to ongoing support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the teamwork of the partnership that we are able to continue during this unusual time.

We look forward to working with you!
