Come to Worship; No Registration Required: Registration is not required to attend our in-person worship services in the sanctuary at 8:30, (masks required) 9:45 (masks optional), and 11:00 (masks optional) and Church in the Round in Jubilee Hall at 8:45 (masks optional). Sunday Morning Child Care Available: Child care is available for children 8-weeks-old through children who are not yet in kindergarten. No registration is required. Mindful Mondays on Zoom, July 19, 10:30 a.m.: Offered by Rev. Bill Roth and Parish Nurse Lauren Smith. Learn to embody the present moment with compassionate awareness and discover the emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits of meditative practices. Summer Small Group, Tuesdays, now-August 3, 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., room 104: Come as you are able to this four-week clergy-led study for a time of fellowship and discussion. There will be no necessary reading before group meetings. Email Dr. Uiyeon Kim at ukim@mpumc.org if you have any questions.

Children’s Ministries’ Outdoor Prayer Stations, July 21 and 28: If you haven't already, be sure to sign up to visit our Outdoor Prayer Stations on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There are only two Wednesdays left! Click here to sign up for a 45-minute slot to explore different ways to pray: praying in color, Lego prayers, poem prayers, and more! New stations are added each week. New - Donuts and Coffee, July 25: Join us next Sunday for the Sugar Donuts food truck outside after each service. We have missed you and hope this can be a time when we reconnect, meet new people, and enjoy each other’s company. Missions' July Collection, now-July 31: To celebrate their recent renovations and upcoming reopening, we are collecting the following items throughout the month of July for our local partner The Center of Hope: blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, and wash cloths. All items must be new and unused. Please drop off items under the portico Monday-Thursday before noon. You may also shop from our Amazon Wishlist and have items shipped directly to the church.

Register for 2021-2022 Children’s Sunday School, now-August 1: We are busy preparing for a return to in-person Sunday School this fall, and we are excited to see your children in our classrooms on Sunday mornings! 2021-2022 Sunday School registration is now open, and children born on or before August 31, 2019 through children who completed 4th grade in the 2020-21 school year are invited to register. New - Marriage Matters Workshop, August 21, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Zoom: If you want to learn the latest research on what makes marriage work or need to meet the premarital counseling requirements to get married at our church, this seminar is for you. Rev. Bill Roth will use Dr. John Gottman’s Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work and ideas from noted therapists Sue Johnson and Terry Real. Registration by August 19 is required. Border Trip, August 11-16: We invite you to join a border experience with Rev. Nathan Arledge to McAllen, Texas to learn about immigration ministries and life on the border. You will assist in welcoming legal asylum seekers through the ministry of presence and "withness" to help further the church's budding relationship with First UMC McAllen. Space is limited to 15 participants, and all participants must be fully vaccinated. In addition, all participants are responsible for booking their own travel and covering their meal expenses and lodging. To sign up for this experience, click here. Audrey Chadwick Retires: After nearly 20 years of service at MPUMC, facility staff member Audrey Chadwick has retired effective June 25. Dedicated, hardworking, friendly, and willing and eager to serve in any capacity, Audrey is looking forward to a more relaxed way of life. She plans to sell her home in Monroe and return to her family home site in New Hampshire. We will collect well wishes and financial gifts for the next month to bolster her moving and retirement fund.
