Lena Jackson is a Carolina Music Award nominated rapper, writer, and poet. While growing up in poverty stricken areas of South side Raleigh, Lena grew up with music and writing as therapeutic comfort. Jackson started penning poetry as a child, and later became intrigued by cipher sessions witnessed at school cafeterias in her teens. She eventually interchanged poetry stanzas with hip-hop bars, and found pleasure in both spoken word and cypher rapping.

Affectionately referred to as "The Wolf" for her ferocious delivery, Lena's guest features and live performances expose her raw talent and spirited personality. Rocking on the same bills as Dead Prez and Blueprint, she has performed at such events as The Hopscotch Festival Day Party, Beats N Bars Festival, Yo! NC Raps, and the "Rally On Raleigh" Women's March. In addition, Jackson is currently a launch artist for the U.K. based streaming platform, ThePurpleVision.

"The essence of the [Hip-Hop] genre is the ability to turn poetry into rhyme; Lena Jackson does this well in her debut" -Voiceless Music

The "Darkness Brim" EP- Available now on all digital platforms.

"Her projects sound so clean and clear; production is nice and brings an old school sound." -NotYaManz Podcast

Jackson's goal with her current release "Darkness Brim" is to display her verbal skill set while expounding on darker topics not typically discussed in mainstream hip-hop; issues such as poverty, domestic violence and mental health. With powerful messages connected to intense delivery, Lena Jackson is prepared to interject a different, deeper and doper perspective into the rap game.

"Her flow glides like lyrical exercise."
