Apex Signing Day Andrew Bulieris-Sports Editor

Signing day sported some of Apex High’s greatest athletes of the year signing with their college on an athletic scholarship. It was a great day for Apex High School athletics as the athletes were surrounded and represented by friends, teammates, coaches, and family. Apex was represented by nine athletes making their commitments to their college. Apex had two volleyball commits, Natalie White, signing to Salt Lake Community College, and Lauren Tharrington, signing with Converse College; Two women’s basketball commits, Samantha Michel, signing with Northeastern University, and Kimberly Schuh, signing with Meredith College; and Two swimming commits, Erin Conroy, signing with Duquesne University, and Alex Diacumakos, signing with Towson University. A mix of softball, Track and field, and lacrosse round out the rest with Katelyn Jones signing with Catawba College, Graci Fulkerson signing with Arizona State University, Ben Savino signing with Ole Miss University, and Olivia Oates signing with William & Peace University.

Erin Conroy signed to swim at Duquesne University.

Alex Diacumakos signed to swim at Towson University.

Graci Fulkerson signed to play lacrosse at Arizona State University.

Katelyn Jones signed to play softball at Catawba College.

Samantha Michel to play basketball at Northeastern University.

Olivia Oates signed to play softball at William & Peace University.

Ben Savino signed to run track and field with Ole Miss University.

Kimberly Schuh signed to play basketball at Meredith College.

Lauren Tharrington signed to play volleyball at Converse College.

Natalie White signed to play volleyball at Salt Lake Community College.

This year’s signing day continued a legacy of great Apex athletes continuing their career in sports further into college. Congratulations to these student athletes, and best wishes on your college athletic careers!
