THE CHANNEL ISLANDS ORCHESTRAL SUITE PROJECT Watch the Virtual Performance and Discover More

Live stream youtube premiere:

7:00 PM, November 13, 2020

This original performance virtually weaves together music, movement, acting, poetry, and visual arts inspired by the islands that are our university’s namesake, and runs less than an hour. Drs. KuanFen Liu and Catherine Scott Burriss co-direct this unique integration of music, dance, theater, visual arts, and digital media arts. Talented students from over half a dozen majors at California State University Channel Islands collaborate to research and create original and adapted performance elements set to The Channel Islands Orchestral Suite, an original composition by Ashley Hoyer that was commissioned by Dr. Liu and had its premiere in the fall of 2019.

The University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about access provided, please contact Disability Accommodations and Support Services at (805) 437-3331 or accommodations@csuci.edu as soon as possible, but no later than 5 business days prior to the event.
