Hi Grandma and Grandpa! I thought this would be a great way to stay in touch and show you some of the things we've been up to this Fall. Love you!
First off - Jace took me to Leavenworth for my birthday. We just explored the area, ate some brats and soft pretzels on the old Bavarian-esque main street, and drove around looking for Larch trees, which I'd never seen in real life.
#larchmadness! (It's like "March Madness" but for trees, obviously.)
It was a perfect birthday!
We went to Moab for Thanksgiving. On Saturday, Jace and I got up at 5:20 am to go to Canyonlands for Sunrise at Mesa Arch - there were tons of tourists but it was so worth it! Probably my favorite sunrise that I've ever seen - the arch glows red when the sun comes up.
Taken not long after one another. It's crazy how different light can be!
All of the roads in Canyonlands are windy like this!
Per the usual, my other favorite part of the trip were the plants we saw.
Left: The fullest, fluffiest juniper bush I've ever seen! Right: I loved this plant. Still not sure what it is, though (any ideas?)
Since we got home from Utah, I've been keeping busy with work, freelance design work, and...my plants!
I have nearly forty. It's becoming a problem.
I hope you had a great fall season too! We love and miss you!
