Women's Council Newsletter February 2018

Welcome all new and returning members! I hope you all had a wonderful time over the holidays with your family and are rested and ready to begin our work for 2018. The Women's Council Steering Committee met last month for our annual planning session and there are a lot of great plans in the work for this year! If you are a returning member, welcome back! If you are new to us this year, I encourage you to get plugged in with a committee. I would like to extend an invitation to all members to come to our first social of the year on Tuesday February 13th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Conway Regional Foundation Office at 631 Western Avenue. This is a casual meet and greet type event for all new, returning, and prospective members. Again, we are so excited to have you with us this year - let's make this our best year yet!

-Aimee Prince

Dazzle Daze 2017

Thank you to all of our Women's Council members who volunteered for Dazzle Daze 2017! The dates for our 2018 Dazzle Daze event are November 15-17 and planning has already begun! If you would like to be more involved in Dazzle Daze, we would love to get you connected with the Dazzle Daze committee. As a reminder, each Women's Council member is asked to serve for at least one shift at Dazzle Daze, so please mark you calendars to come volunteer and shop with us!
February is American Heart Month! Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. The disease is more prevalent in women because the symptoms manifest differently - click the link below to hear Dr. Deepali Tukaye, Conway Regional Cardiologist, discuss heart disease in women and how you can detect the early signs and stay heart healthy!
Please connect with us via our Women's Council Membership Directory! The Membership committee has worked hard to develop a directory to include members, committee information, the latest Facebook and Twitter feed, and event calendar. The directory is the best way to stay up to date with the latest info on the Women's Council. Visit the directory below! If you have any issues logging in, please contact dwelch@conwayregional.org. If you would like to help connect our members, plan membership events, and other activities, we would love to connect you with the membership committee.

For additional questions or information on the Women's Council feel free to contact Dot Welch at dwelch@conwayregional.org or 501.513.5771.
