Charleston,SC

Charleston is located on the coast of South Carolina. It became an official city in 1783. Charleston is the town where the Civil war began. Although many people come to Charleston for it's history, you can also come just to have fun. They have tons of water parks. You don't even have to go to the beach you can get wet at Splash Island Waterpark in the historic town of Charleston.

  • You can visit the Middleton Place which is the home to Americas Oldest Landscaped Gardens.
  • You can go visit the small but amazing Sullivan's Island and see the Edgar Allan Poe library.
  • You can go visit the home of Antebellum, The Aiken-Rhett House Museum. It has been in the hands of descendants for 142 years. It was built in 1820 as a double house.
Myrtle Beach,SC

Myrtle Beach is located inside of Horry County. Did you know that Myrtle Beach got its name from a tree? I was surprised to find out it was named after the Sweet Myrtle Tree. Myrtle Beach isn't only known for its amazing beaches and amusement parks but also for its golf. There are about 3.4 million rounds of golf played in the Myrtle Beach area.

  • You can go to the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament. This could be a fun night for the entire family to enjoy. Who wouldn't like dinner and a live show?
  • You could go to the Motor City Musical. It is a tribute to Motown.A professional cast sings classics,and its like going to a concert at a lower price.
  • You can also go to WonderWorks. It's an upside down building! You can go into the Anti-Gravity Chamber, a Hurricane Shack, or even ride Xtreme 360 bikes.
Beaufort,SC

Beaufort is a city on Port Royal Island.It’s known for its Antebellum mansions, especially in the downtown historic district. 304 acres of the city have been designated a National Historic Landmark by the U. S. Department of the Interior. Hollywood movies such as Forrest Gump, Something to Talk About, The Big Chill, and many others were filmed in or around Beaufort.

  • You can visit Penn Center-Founded in 1862, the Penn Center is the site of the first academic school for freed slaves.
  • You can go to Movie Sites-With over 16 movie sites in just downtown alone, and several more in the surrounding area, Beaufort has proven to be the ideal backdrop for several big time Hollywood hits.
  • You can go to the Beaufort International Film Festival-An annual event that celebrates both the past and the future of film making in Beaufort and the surrounding Sea Islands.
Hilton Head,SC

Hilton Head is named after Captain William Hilton.In 1163 he identified a headland near the entrance to Port Royal Sound, which he named "Hilton's Head" after himself.Hilton Head offers 12 miles of pristine beaches and everything you need for the ultimate retreat.John Barnwell became Hilton Head Island’s first English settler in 1717 after receiving a grant of 1,000 acres in what is now Hilton Head Plantation.
