Celebrating Canada By: Yasin omar

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is a large waterfall located in the Niagara region in Ontario, Canada. Twelve thousand years ago, the falls were created("Niagara falls & Human History). Niagara falls are located in Ontario, Canada in the Niagara region. In 1820, tourism began at Niagara Falls("Tourism in Canada). The Niagara Falls stands 54 meters high and covers a area of 212 square kilometers("Facts about Niagara Falls - City of Niagara Falls"). Niagara Falls is of great meaning to me because when I went there with my family it was great seeing a piece of old Canadian history, and we also made great memories there. Niagara Falls should be celebrated and valued by all Canadians because of how old it is, it generates electricity and the falls are beautiful.

Canadian Freedom

Canadian freedom is something that should be valued by all Canadians. In 1759, Britain took control of the Canadian colonies. In July 1st 1867, Canada got its independence from Britain. The constitution act which established the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms was made in 1982, giving Canadians freedom("Canadian History"). This should be valued by all Canadians because without freedom we wouldn't be able to do the things we are able to do today, we would be afraid to go outside. Canadian freedom allows us to be free and not restrained. I value the freedom we have in Canada for many reasons such as, it lets me go play out with my friends, it lets me have the right to speak my mind without being scared and many more things that we do in our everyday lives that we can do because of freedom.

The CN Tower

Located in Toronto, Ontario, the CN Tower is a gigantic building reaching over 533 meters tall. The tower took 40 months of construction to complete, and was opened to the public on July 26, 1973("Astounding-CN Tower). Originally made for telecommunications and radio signals, the CN Tower later became a tourist attraction and was named one of the seven wonders of the world. To construct, the cost was $52 million(Mcmordie). The CN Tower is a great part of Canadian history and shows the world what us Canadians are capable of creating. This is valued by me because I've created many memories with friends and family there.
