The Great Schism of 1054 was the split between the Eastern and Western Christian Churches and was led by Pope Leo IX

St Dominic was a Spanish priest who lived from 1170 - 1221 and founder of the Dominican Order of friars and nuns. He founded an order that focused on getting out among the people and showing God's love.

St. Francis of Assisi Created an order where all members took a vow of poverty and worshiped God.

Leo IX was the 151st pope and served from February 12, 1049 until his death in April 19, 1054

St. Dominic was born in old Castile, Spain and was trained for priesthood by his priest-uncle. Became a canon of the Cathedral at Osma.

St. Fanicis When he was young he would drink and party. After getting in a fight with Assisi and Perugia he was captured and held for ransom.
