Carr-Harris Cup Thursday - 2019/02/07

Kingston, ON - The RMC Paladins (6-19-2) reclaimed the Carr-Harris Cup in dominant fashion on Thursday night, beating the Queen’s Gaels (18-9-0) 5-1 in front of a record crowd of 3,888 at the Leon’s Centre.

Liam Stagg scored the first goal of the game for the Paladins. With an assist on the goal, Cameron Lamport extended his point-streak to nine games. Four minutes later, Rhett Willcox increased RMC's lead.

1st Intermission

RMC led Queen's 2-0 after 20 minutes.

Alex MacDonald scored 30 seconds into the second period for the Paladins, followed soon after by Stagg's second goal of the game.

Lamport scored the final goal of the game for RMC after skating from one end of the ice to the other.

Spencer Abraham scored the lone goal for Queen's.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, RMC led Queen's 5-1.

Austin Hannaford made 46 saves in the game for the Paladins, leading RMC to victory.

Stagg was named the team's MVP, winning the the Mary Carr-Harris Most Valuable Player Award.

RMC hosts Nipissing (8-18-0) on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the last game of the year.
