Sleepy Hollow High School Winter Conert 2016 Some Winter, some holiday, some gene wilder, some leonard cohen

Sleepy Hollow High School held its 2016 Winter Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 13, and the musical roster included everything from Mozart to Leonard Cohen to Leonard Bernstein. The Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra were conducted by Brittney Trenczer, and the Chorus was conducted by Gail Persad. Also performing were the High School Band and High School Concert Band, conducted by Austin Day, and the High School Wind Ensemble and Band, conducted by Micah Sprague.

The performers paid special tribute to the late Gene Wilder with two numbers, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and "Pure Imagination," and to the late Leonard Cohen, with his haunting "Hallelujah."

Special thanks go out to the Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts Boosters and the Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns for all their support for the arts in our District!
