Student of the Week

Micah Serafin is our College Prep Student of the Week!

"My student of the week is Micah Serafin. Micah is such a fun student to have in class. He is always ready with a joke or a smile to lighten up the mood. He has really begun to make great choices to be successful. He is learning to advocate for himself by selecting seats that allow him to focus. He has been making an effort to proficiently complete all of his assignments on time." - Mrs. Comstock

JPEC In The News!

Jackson College's Heritage Center was recently honored with a Service Award by Governor Rick Snyder. JPEC students have played a vital role in this service learning project, having multiple JPEC students serve on the project over the last two years.

Early College Student of the Week

"I am so pleased to have the opportunity to honor Katie Holdwick as the EC Student of the Week. Katie has been working hard in Scientific Illustration and her artistic and analytical skills have grown by leaps and bounds over the course of the term. Doc B and I have been incredibly impressed by the quality of her work, so much so that we invited Katie to create a comprehensive set of diagrams that will be used in both Human Biology B and Scientific Illustration. In a mock-up drawing that Katie presented last week, she demonstrated her observational drawing skills to create two images of a femur. The images were excellent. She was receptive and responsive to feedback, and communicated clearly and objectively about her work. For many reasons, I am impressed with Katie's performance as an art student, and increasingly I am impressed with her performance as a working artist. Congratulations, Katie, on being this week's EC Student of the Week!" - Ms. Sarah Shirk
