February 20, 2017 - Libya

On February 20, 2017, 74 dead immigrant washed ashore on the Libyan Coast. These bodies were found on a beach near the town of Zawiya. The bodies came from sunken inflatable raft that was found on the same beach. The people were leaving Libya for Italy on saturday and was left drifting for 7 days without an engine. The route between Libya and Italy left at least 4,759 people dead last year.

March 2, 2017 - Syria

On March 2, 2017 Syrian forces completely retook the ancient town of Palmyra from Islamic State militants.

In Saudi Arabia, two transgender Pakistani women were beaten to death on March 6, 2017.

Al Qaeda leader says that the US refused to trade 'Blind Sheikh' for a hostage.

In Turkey, a Syrian pilot's plane was shot down and crashed in Turkey.
