Task 1: Kleenex

I had 2 blue parts, 2 red parts, and 2 green parts. They are all rectangles/parallelograms so I did bh because that's the area for a parallelogram. I solved the area for the blue parts first and did 22.5 x 12 because the area is bh and I got 270. Then I did x2 and got 540. For the green part I did 22.5 x 11 be because of the area and got 247.5. Then I did x2 because there's 2 of the green and got 495. For the red part I did 12 x 11 and got 132. Then I did x2 and got 264. Finally, I added all of the areas and got the surface area of 1299 cm squared.

Task 2: Big Toblerone

There are 3 rectangles and 2 triangles when you make the net. So I did 5.9 x 31.1 for the rectangles because the area for the rectangle would be bh. I got the answer of 183.49 cm squared and did x3 because there's 3 of the rectangles. I did 1/2 x bh for the triangle because that's the area for a triangle. So I did 1/2 x 5.9 x 4.9 and got 14.455. Then I did x2 because there's 2 of the triangles. Finally, I added both of the areas and got the surface area of 579.38 cm squared.

To find the volume of this object, I found the area of the Base of the shape which was a square. I did bh which was 23.3 x 23.3 and I got 542.89. Then, to find the volume I did Bh and did 542.89 x 5 and I got the answer of 2714.45 cm cubed for the volume.

Task 4: Pringles

To find the volume of the Pringles, I found the diameter of the circle which was 8 cm and the height was 24.5 cm. I found the area of the circle by doing pi x r squared. I did this because that's the formula for the area of a circle. First I did 8/2 because I need to find the radius, not the diameter. I did 4 x 4 because 4 is to the 2nd power and got 16 and did pi x 16 and I got 50.27 cm squared. Then I did 50.27 x 24.5 because the formula for volume is Bh. The answer I got at the end was 1231.62 cm cubed.
