Bridgepoint Elementary Spreads Kindness

In April 2017, Bridgepoint Elementary students participated in a day of kindness. Josh Lawson, along with other third grade students, wrote letters to soldiers currently serving our country. Josh not only received a response from a soldier currently serving in Afghanistan, he also received the flag that flew over the Army base. New Washington Radio/TV Program Hurricane Relief

Written by Bill Jones - Station Manager at WPMQ

We have all seen the devastation in Texas as a result of Hurricane Harvey. The loss of life and property on such a grand scale has been difficult for us to watch. Just imagine having to live through such a tragedy. Although Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas on August 25th, the need in that area is still great. And now Hurricane Irma serves as a potential threat to the state of Florida. All of us at Q99.3, WPMQ, believe that if we have the ability to help, then we have the obligation to help. You can join us and here's how! Q99.3 will be offering radio shout-outs to be aired on the weekend of September 16th and 17th. For a minimum donation of $5.00, you can send a message to someone special over the radio. You write it and the staff at Q99.3 will read it on the air. If you’d like to go one step further, for a minimum donation of $10.00, or $5.00 if you are a New Washington Elementary student, you can deliver your shout-out on Q99.3 yourself. If you’ve ever wanted to be on the radio, this is your chance! Students at New Washington Middle/High School and New Washington Elementary will be able to participate in this fundraising event during the school day on Tuesday, September 12th. Community members will have the opportunity to participate during the New Washington home volleyball match that same evening. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to hurricane relief. We know the New Washington community has a big heart. Let’s show hurricane victims just how big! Please email bjones@gccschools.com to purchase your radio shout-out and give to hurricane relief. Thank you for supporting us here at Q99.3, WPMQ, and for helping those in need.
