February was another very successful month for us, we hit a huge 18k week over half term so thank you all for your hard work and commitment over what was a challenging but exciting week for us. Our 24 hr Drive Thru facility is continuing to grow, our cleanliness has improved massively and we've made some exciting changes to the team. Firstly we have two new baristas Emily and Chelsea, and we have also welcomed our new assistant manager Sarah to the team. Let's continue to make them feel part of the team and make their time with us enjoyable ☺️. Huge well done to Brooke for starting her team leader training, we have no doubt that you will be amazing ⭐️. Our store and the company is growing so much like Anthony has said, there are plenty of opportunities for all of you!

Truly Yours...

Our customers spend a lot of money on their coffee on a daily basis, so our job is to ensure the quality and service we are providing is world class. The truly yours campaign is all about creating the perfect latte for our customers and finding out what's right for them. We will have a sampling plan in place to help customers find their perfect latte and our menu boards will now display all the different components that can be used, from our variety of milk and dairy substitutes to our different range of espresso, there will be something to suit everyone. Please don't be afraid to talk to customers and share your knowledge with them, they love it when we give them our recommendations!

We've seen some really good latte art progression over the last few weeks, so it's now time to show off your skills on every latte you hand out. This is a really good way to communicate more with customers on the hand off point and show them what you can do. We do need to focus more on the connection when handing off drinks, meaning more smiling, eye contact and conversation! We have an extremely good reputation for delivering amazing service to our customers so we need to keep this up and go even further with it!

So as always for every new promotion we have some new items that are getting added to our menu. After the success of our breakfast hot boxes we are now introducing healthy lunch hot boxes which include a Fire Cracker Chicken & Giant Cous Cous, Pulled Beef Chilli & Rice and Courgetti, Broccoli, Halloumi & Cous Cous. We are proving customers with a healthy lunch option as now that spring is here a lot of people will be starting their 'summer bod' diet. A healthy option means customers have more reason to buy one of these boxes with their coffee. Remember to try them and let customers know which is your favourite - like I said they love hearing our recommendations.

Other new food items include the chocolate and raspberry muffin, the fudge and walnut cheesecake muffin and not forgetting our new pastries. The butter croissant, pan au chocolat and pan aux raisin are now served warm as standard, but please double check the customers preference first, letting them know that they taste even better warmed up.

The Burnt Caramel Latte

We have two new drinks added to our menu - the Burnt Caramel Latte (BCL) and the Salted Toffee Macadamia Latte (STML). Both are finished with whipped cream and drizzle and can be served iced. Our origin espresso for this promotion is the 3 Region Blend, it's the first coffee offered from Starbucks to have beans from all 3 regions - Latin America, Asia Pacific and Africa - and has balanced notes of floral, herbs, lemon and currant, perfect for the spring season!

We are also finally introducing Almond substitute to our menu, we've seen how popular it is with customers already but please note we cannot advertise or state it as almond milk as it is not dairy product. It's a substitute for dairy. If you have any questions about this then please ask a manager.

Events this month include: 7th March - Spring Launch! And MSR partners get a FREE food item up until the 13th March. 9th - 23rd March - MSR breakfast double stars offer. MSR members can gain double stars when they purchase a breakfast item. 17th March - St Patrick's Day! Advertising of the green tea frappuccino will take place in store to celebrate. Feel free to wear any green/Irish themed accessories to work on this day. 26th March - Mothers Day. We will have Mother's Day inspired merchandise and Starbucks cards available so try and push for these sales the weeks leading up to thIs day!

From a charity perspective we will be supporting the Marie Curie daffodil appeal. Every march thousands of people show their support by wearing a daffodil pin for a £1 donation. We have a box in store so if you would like to support this cause then please purchase a daffodil which you can pin to your aprons. ☺️
