Saturday showdown Brisbane Premiership Women's Competition

WOMEN’S XV RUGBY SET FOR SUPER SATURDAY SHOWDOWN

A Super Saturday of Women’s Rugby will take place at Sunnybank Rugby Club on Saturday, 8 April, with eight Brisbane Premiership teams competing.

The event is a first for the Brisbane Premiership Women’s competition and is something Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) have worked closely with the clubs on to bring to fruition.

Game 1: Redlands v GPS at 11:15AM

Game 2: Wests v Helensvale at 12:30PM

Game 3: Brothers v Logan City at 1:50PM

Game 4: UQ v Sunnybank at 3:05PM

JAPANESE NATIVE CALLS QUEENSLAND WOMEN'S RUGBY HOME

The weekend, Sunnybank Rugby club with host the inaugural Brisbane Premiership Women's Super Saturday Showdown, which will see all eight women's teams in the competition converge on Oldmac Oval.

With so many players in the one place at the one time, there will be a huge amount of talent on show. One of those players is promising young University of Queensland scrumhalf Digi Ono.

Ono, a Japanese native, moved to Australia when she was 16 years of age with a very limited understanding of the English Language.
