Gender Pay Gap BY:ALLIE D'ALESSANDRO

- Women make 78 cents for every dollar earned by men.

-The gender pay gap widens in higher paying jobs like law, medicine, and business.

- In 6/10 American households, women typically make more money then the men of the house.

-Women of color have a even harder time making more money then men.

-Women overall lose out on more than $400,000 over the course of their careers, but most women of color are loosing more than double that.

I picked this topic because I feel that men and women should both have equal pay and organizations predict that it will take around 170 years to close.

What stood out to me is that there is even a bigger wage gap between colored/different racial women then white men, and that it adds up to $800,000 over a year.
