Peter Griessmann of Woodworker Network, explained, “Without Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD), we would not have received funding to grow our business.” Peter and Toni Griessmann built Woodworker Network from the ground up in 1992. Originally a wood flooring business, Griessmann expanded his business as a lumber and wood working supplier to other local woodworkers.

In 2009, The Rural Opportunities Loan Fund through Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) provided a loan to the Griessmanns for equipment as well as funding for the design and marketing of a website.

TEDD worked with Griessmann; and eventually, he was able to hire two new employees. A few years passed until, recently, the Griessmanns were able to pay off their loan with TEDD. Peter Griessmann said, “Banks would not listen to us while [TEDD] listened and offered valuable resources way beyond what any bank could deliver.”
