Principal's Coffee

Principal's Coffee and Classroom Visits

Our next Principal's Coffee is 31 January 2017 at 9:30 am. This Principal's Coffee will be the very first coffee that includes classroom visits to see all the wonderful things happening at our school. The focus will be around seeing our students as leaders through The Leader in Me, and the 7 Habits in some of our classrooms. We want to share our story with you. Space is limited to 5 guests, which will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in attending this Principal's Coffee we will meet at 9:30 am. Classroom visits will begin around 10:00 am. Sign up by using the button below.

Square Dance Week

Square Dance Week January 29th - February 3rd

One of the projects funded by your donations during the Fund Run is a week of square dancing instruction that fuses music and PE instruction. Come and celebrate what your children have learned during this week during our family Square Dance Night. You'll have fun dancing along with family and friends with our wonderful square dance caller Dave. Treats will be provided at the end of the night. 7-8pm in the school gym on Thursday, February 2nd.

Boxtops for Education

Boxtops for Education

This year, we will run our Box Tops collection contest January 17-February 17.

Our Goals

  • To raise $2000 in free money for our kids
  • 100% participation – even if it’s just one coupon!

If each student brought in 100 Box Tops, it would mean over $6000 for Mukilteo Elementary School’s amazing kids and teachers – we can do this!

What to clip and save

Clip, save and submit all Box Tops for Education certificates and bonus certificates. Each unexpired Box Top is worth 1 point (exception is bonus coupons – 10 Bonus Box Tops = 10 points, etc.). The class that brings in the most each week will get our Box Tops traveling trophy! If we reach our goal, the whole school will get to celebrate with a CRAZY HAIR DAY!!!

How to submit your Box Tops

  • Place the collected items in a Ziploc bag or on the Box Tops Collection Sheet.
  • Turn your Box Tops in to your teacher.
  • Please do not send in Campbell’s Labels.

SOARing In The Lunchroom

We would love your support with helping our kids S.O.A.R. Please watch and review our lunchroom expectations with your child. Our goal is to create a positive and respectful lunchroom environment.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Registration

Fifth and Sixth Grade Registration

Here is the final schedule for the middle school counselor visits to the elementary schools in March. Please note the slight change of Fairmount’s starting time. Dates and times for the Parent Information Nights are also listed. Click on the button below to see the schedule.

Robotics Club

Robotics Club

Are your kids interested in building and programming Lego Mindstorms Robots? Did you miss our Open House on the October 18th? Never fear—you can still sign up for the club. There are additional signup forms available in the office (just return to the office staff), or you can use the link below to fill out an on-line form (you may also print a form or fill out electronically https://goo.gl/forms/jWg80V63swemoyUW2). We will choose meeting dates based on the availability you enter on the registration forms, and we’ll choose the day(s) that work for the most kids. There is no fee or payment required to join. We now have 10 Mindstorms kits, and we’re looking to have a club of 30 Robot Designers. The club will meet after school from 3:30 – 5:30 pm from November through June (except during December and school holidays). The Robotics Club is for any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade students at ME. Note that the club relies heavily on parent volunteers for coaching (no experience necessary; training will be provided; expectation of 5 parent volunteer days per student), and that parents (or suitable surrogate) must pick up their students after club meetings. If we have enough parent volunteers we may be able to divide the club and hold two separate meeting times.
