Last Friday we started the book of Colossians. This is what we learned from verses 1-12.
(v1-8) - We saw that Colossians had a "Faith" and "Love for all the saints". The moving for their Faith and Love was found in verse 5. "Because of the HOPE which is laid up for you in heaven."
So we asked ourselves...
DOES OUR HOPE IN HEAVEN MOVE US FOR FAITH AND LOVE ON EARTH?
We continued In verses 9-12 and discovered that...
- We CAN KNOW God's will. (v.9)
- We CAN WALK in God's will. (V.10)
- We CAN BE STRENGTHENED to walk in God's will (V.11)
- We CAN BE THANKFUL when walking in God's will. (V.12)
In regards to seeking God's will and His calling for our individual lives, we challenged each other to take these steps.
1. Believe God wants you to know your calling
2. Pray, ask, seek God until you know your calling.
3. Once you know your calling, ask what steps to take towards your calling.
