Purna is a perfect example of a word that contains truth. Purna has several meanings one of which is fullness and refers specifically to the moon. In English, we have the word moon and various words for phases of the moon- full moon, new moon, etc. The sanskirt word for moon contains the truth of the moon- the moon is always full. Despite what we see with our eyes- a unidimensional shape in the sky which changes, the sanskrit word points to the truth- the moon is always full. The changing reflection we see is deceptive; revealing the sun’s reflection on the surface of the moon. The truth is the moon is always full. - DristiPoint
