YOUR EID IS YOUR ELECTRONIC IDENTITY AT K-STATE

Your eID gives you access to resources like Canvas, KSIS, webmail, the wireless network, and more. It's also part of your email address:

K-STATE WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD IN AN EMAIL. PLEASE DON'T RESPOND TO ANY SCAMS ASKING FOR PASSWORDS!

YOU MUST USE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE

Any computer connected to the campus network must have antivirus software installed. K-Staters can use the antivirus software of their choice or choose from a list of recommended software:

Office 365 ProPlus is free for everyone at K-State. It includes desktop and mobile app versions of Microsoft Office and can be installed on up to five PCs or Macs, and five mobile devices.

1 TB of space is also available via Microsoft OneDrive.

Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating System licenses are available to faculty and staff for all university-owned computers at no cost. Check with the technical support staff in your unit for more information.

K-STATE.EDU/ITS/OFFICE365/HELP

Read & Write, a study tool for text-to-speech, word translation, vocabulary list builder, scan to PDF, and more, is available for download by all K-Staters for home or office use at no cost.

Various other licenses are also available for personal and department use. Some fees and restrictions may apply.

THERE ARE 3 WIRELESS NETWORKS

KSU Wireless is for all K-Staters. KSU Housing is for residence halls and Jardine Apartments. KSU Guest is unsecured and is just basic internet access, but can't access systems like webmail or Canvas.

GET CREATIVE IN THE MEDIA CENTER

The Media Center in room 1 Seaton Hall has hardware and software for digital video editing, image scanning, large format scanning, web design, 3D printing, and more.

TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR CHECK OUT

Multimedia equipment of all sorts can be checked out for free at the K-State Student Union, Cat's Pause Lounge, room 222.

A current K-State ID is required to verify identity.

Graduate students submit an electronic version of their thesis, dissertation, or report. Get information about submission requirements, formatting guidelines, help, and more.

Get answers to questions about email, eIDs, passwords, Canvas, Internet access, hardware and software, KSIS and more. Black & white printing and equipment checkout are also available.
