For example, the company needed a process to update its list of “road warriors” who were allowed by travel policy to upgrade to higher classes of service based on their travel history. Travel and Transport created a simple weekly report that easily allowed them to determine who had reached the travel threshold to join the client’s road warrior program. This solved a manual and time-consuming process for the client.

By our fourth year with the client, they hired a new travel manager, eager to switch GDSs. While Travel and Transport could support the new GDS and was open to the change, the travel manager took the client to a “mega” TMC that summer. By the end of the year, the client began the process to reimplement with Travel and Transport. Executives preferred the high touch service provided—intimate service by travel counselors familiar to their travelers, who knew their names and their preferences.
