physicians assisted suicide Laura Tashian

Many people often confuse physicians assisted suicide (PAS) and Euthanasia. "In Physician-assisted suicide: The physician provides the necessary means or information, the patient peforms the act" (Northwestern University)

"In Euthanasia: the physician performs the interention" (Northwestern University)

There are many circumstances that may allow a patient to qualify for PAS -Terminally Ill, No cognitive functioning, Wishes to die with dignity

57% of practicing physicians have received requests by clients for help in ending their suffering.

PAS is not only beneficial for the patient but for the families of patients as well
