BIRDING COSTA RICA photography by keith carver

The birds of Costa Rica are among the most colorful in the world, ranging from the rainbow-colored Keel-billed Toucan to the impossibly cobalt-blue Red-legged Honeycreeper. Join me in my April 2015 tour of Costa Rica as I photographed these and many other fascinating birds of Central America along with three-toed sloths, iguanas, and lush tropical jungles. This trip was led by nature photographers Gary and Judy Malloch, joined by photographers Dennis Parass, Stuart Wanuck and me. Our expert Costa Rican tour guide was Yehudi Hernandez.
