The volcano’s name is Thera. The volcano is on the island of Thera in the Aegean Sea. It erupted about 4000 years ago in 1646 BC, When it erupted 20,000 people died. When the volcano erupted it made a big hole in the very middle of the island. Sea water came into the hole. Now it is a circular island THERA VOLCANO and looks like a donut.
