The Grand Canal

The Grand Canal forms one of the main transport routes through the old City, and acts as the main artery for the maze of smaller canals and waterways full of both recreational and domestic watercraft and commercial traffic.

Everyday traffic.

The gondolas

The most well known recreational traffic are the world famous gondolas.

The view from the top of the bridge is spectacular, especially in the evening... if you can beat the crowds!

Souvenir Shops

These are everywhere on the Main Street, and sell everything from pens to suitcases.

The Streets

Just walking the streets is a great experience, as they're so interesting, sometimes narrow, sometimes dead ends but always fantastic!
