"One Look"

As I stand on that muddy grass field, (simile)

The roar of the cheering crowds (Person.)

Is all I seem to hear.

No specific voices, its all just a blur

The only person I really notice,

Is the yelling of my coach.

As I go to challenge the ball, (simile)

I think, "I want my coach to be proud of me",

The ball is at me feet, I have to be quick. (metaphor)

I dribble up the side of the field,

Cut in and cross, one touch,

From another player, and Goal!

I know my coach is proud of me,

From just one look.

Walking to the car,

Ball in hand, covered all in mud,

I receive compliments on a great game,

I say thanks but all that matters,

After the game winning goal.

Is that one look from my coach.

"As I stand on that muddy grass field," is a simile because it contains the word "as" while comparing two things.

"The roar of the cheering crowds" is personification because the crowd can't actually roar. It's giving Animal-like characteristics to humans.

"The ball is at me feet, I have to be quick." is a metaphor because it's comparing ball at feet to being quick without using like or as.

"Hall of Fame"

Yeah, You could be the greatest

You can be the best

You can be the King Kong banging on your chest

You could beat the world

You could beat the war

You could talk to God, go banging on his door

You can throw your hands up

You can beat the clock

You can move a mountain

You can break rocks

You can be a master

Don't wait for luck

Dedicate yourself and you gon' find yourself

Standing in the hall of fame (yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah)

'Cause you burn with the brightest flame (yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah)

And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

You can go the distance

You can run the mile

You can walk straight through hell with a smile

You could be the hero

You could get the gold

Breaking all the records they thought, never could be broke

Do it for your people

Do it for your pride

How you ever gonna know if you never even try?

Do it for your country

Do it for your name

'Cause there's gonna be a day

When your, standing in the hall of fame (yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah)

'Cause you burn with the brightest flame (yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah)

And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

Be a champion, be a champion, be a champion, be a champion

On the walls of the hall of fame

Be students, be teachers

Be politicians, be preachers

Be believers, be leaders

Be astronauts, be champions

Be truth seekers

Be students, be teachers

Be politicians, be preachers

Be believers, be leaders

Be astronauts, be champions

Standing in the hall of fame (yeah, yeah, yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah, yeah, yeah)

'Cause you burn with the brightest flame (yeah, yeah, yeah)

And the world's gonna know your name (yeah, yeah, yeah)

And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

You could be the greatest

(You can be a champion)

You can be the best

(You can be a champion)

You can be the King Kong banging on your chest

(You can be a champion)

You could beat the world

(You can be a champion)

You could beat the war

(You can be a champion)

You could talk to God, go banging on his door

(You can be a champion)

You can throw your hands up

(You can be a champion)

You can beat the clock

(You can be a champion)

You can move a mountain

(You can be a champion)

You can break rocks

(You can be a champion)

You can be a master

(You can be a champion)

Don't wait for luck

(You can be a champion)

Dedicate yourself and you gon' find yourself

(You can be a champion)

Standing in the hall of fame

(You can be a champion)

"You can be the King Kong banging on your chest" Is a metaphor because it's comparing you to a King Kong without using "like" or "as".

"You can move a mountain" is an hyperbole because it's exaggerated the human strength into moving a mountain.

"You could beat the war" is a metaphor, while comparing two things without using "like" or "as".

"Happy"

It might seem crazy what I'm about to say

Sunshine she's here, you can take away

I'm a hot air balloon, I could go to space

With the air, like I don't care baby by the way

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Here come bad news talking this and that

Yeah, give me all you got, don't hold back

Yeah, well I should probably warn you I'll be just fine

Yeah, no offense to you don't waste your time

Here's why

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Happy, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

Love is too happy to bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

I said bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

Love is too happy to bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

I said

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Happy, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

Love is too happy to bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

"With the air, like I don't care baby by the way" is a simile because it's comparing air towards care.

"Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof" is also a simile because it's using the word like to compare a room without a roof.

"Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth" is a simile because it's using the word like to compare happiness to truth.

"Goodbye"

I'm the sphere that contains all life

Prefer mountains, oceans, greens to rule and thrive

For thousands of year's it was all my desires

Suddenly a walking creature on two legs took over

Taking my blankets, space, and surely wasn't scared to uncover

I've learned, seen with my own eye's how every era has endend

Every year they burn my skin as if every volcano i have has erupted

Taking my air and making mine harder to breathe

Waken my enemies and leaving scars on me

Destroying the beauty's that took time with it's burning heat

Beep, beep, beep oh can't wait for the beep's

Seen it all, all era's coming to an end with their lies

Surly can't wait for the day to tell them goodbye

"Prefer mountains, oceans, greens to rule and thrive" is personification because it gives the mountains, oceans, and plants human characteristics.

"Every year they burn my skin as if every volcano i have has erupted" is simile because it's comparing "burn my skin" and "volcano's" with the word as.

"Beep, beep, beep oh can't wait for the beep's" shows onomatopoeia because the word sounds exactly like the sound.
