Above: LMS students attempt to solve the "Human Knot" and connected it to the ups & downs of life during our most recent STRONG lesson. The lesson stressed that the Waves of Life will happen, but it is how we grow through these ups & downs that will help us in learning to be resilient and strong!

MLK Day of Service -- Monday!

Support for LMS/Hill Family

Sadly, the Downey family suffered a tragedy earlier this week and are in need of support. The Larson and Hill School Communities are helping the family via a Go Fund Me page and a Meal Train. If you would like to help out, please click on the links below.

Prescription Glasses in Office

Mrs. Pepoy now has 4 pairs of lost prescription sunglasses that were turned into the office. If you student is missing glasses, please have them check in next week!

Therapy Dogs at Larson!

On Wednesday, January 23rd Therapy Dogs will be visiting Larson Middle School. A student group, while working on a project to attend to the well-being of Larson, connected with the PET-A-PET organization. Their goal was to help reduce stress levels of students and bring some calmness to their day. This organization will be bringing in 6-7 dogs next Wednesday and will be available during all three lunches for students to visit for a short time. This is an optional activity -- students with allergies or other concerns may choose not to participate.

7th/8th Grade Girls Volleyball Open Gym & Tryouts

Girls interested in playing for the Larson 7th or 8th grade Volleyball teams should be aware of the following dates/times:

Volleyball Open Gym: Wednesday, January 23rd all grades immediately after school until 4:30pm.

Volleyball Tryouts begin Monday, January 28th after school until 5:00pm. 7th and 8th ONLY. Girls interested in trying out for the team MUST have a current physical on file!

"Red Out" Day 2019

On Friday, February 1st Larson Middle School will be having a RED OUT day to bring awareness to cardiovascular disease and to help those individuals with sick hearts. If you have it in your heart to pay it forward, bring in your donation and completed order form by Wednesday, January 23 to receive your red Worth the Effort t-shirt that you can wear on February 1st! Order forms were handed out during 6th Hour today. What a great opportunity to raise awareness, pay it forward by donating $10 to the American Heart Association, and help those in need. I hope everyone joins in on the cause and at least wears red on! February 1st.

Washington D.C. Trip 2019 (Current 7th)

Attention parents of current 7th graders: because we have had so many kids sign up already, the early registration discount has been extended. Larson Talent Show Auditions

Students interested in auditioning for Larson's Talent Show should record and submit a video under 3 minutes long to the Schoology group called “2019 Larson Talent Show”. To join the group, go to “groups” on Schoology. Enter the code: G886V-FPD8C. To be considered, you must submit a video of your full act to the Schoology discussion on this group page. You ALSO MUST fill out and submit the Audition Information Google Form located in the “resources” section of the Schoology group. See below for how to “audition” for backstage and emcee roles.
