Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers (DIRC)

The department of Diversity Initiatives & Resources Centers (DIRC) was made to create learning environments and opportunities that support the University mission by preparing students to become socially-conscious leaders in a global society by offering workshops and trainings that address issues related to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, ability, and class.

There are five resource centers:

  • Asian Pacific American Resource Center (APARC)
  • African American Resource Center (AARC)
  • Chicana and Chicano Resource Center (CRC)
  • LGBT Queer Resource Center (LGBTQRC)
  • Titan Dreamers Resource Center (TDRC)

WHAT IS THE ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN RESOURCE CENTER?

The Asian Pacific American Resource Center, under the Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers Department (DIRC), offers an array of programming and support designed to educate and empower Asian American Pacific Islander students on campus.

MISSION STATEMENT:

"California State University, Fullerton’s Asian Pacific American Resource Center strives to unify and empower its community by serving as an academic and creative home for its students, staff, and faculty, as well as its external community links. Our center seeks to foster the holistic development of its AAPI community through caring, culturally responsive theory driven practices and by encouraging the engagement of its campus AAPI community, resource centers, affiliated partnerships, community leaders and allies whose reach may extend statewide, nationally, and internationally."
