Palazzo Ducale ~ Ducal Palace & St Mark's square
Ducal Palace (st. mark's square visit daily)
Even if you don't buy the secret itineraires pass I strongly recommend to pay a visit to this wonderful Palace, house of the Doge of Venice for centuries. From its balconies, you'll enjoy a prime view on the prospicient 'Piazza'. Other landmarks the Campanile (you can go up with a lift and breathe a 360° view) and the Basilica (10-15 min. in & out)
This marble flying angel is probably the best iconinc representation of the artistic level of this beautiful, not well known yet gorgeus Palace completely restored and visitable every day 50 meters away from Campo Santa Maria Formosa (5 min. walk from Ca' Contessa heading towards Rialto)

It's the title of a movie I love with italian character Alberto Sordi http://bit.ly/1U5OdNe !! For anyone thinking this it's a ''too tourist activity'' I say: try it!! (book at anytime with me I'll point you out the way to the nearest gondolier!)
