2019 PCAOB Scholar

Senior accounting major, Keiyana Gaskin, has been awarded the prestigious Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) scholarship for 2019-20. One student from more than 300 colleges and universities nationwide are chosen to receive the $10,000 scholarship. This marks the second straight year that a Southern Miss Business student has earned the PCAOB award, last year’s recipient being Kameshia Mays. Gaskin aspires to study abroad and, upon graduation, pursue her master's degree. Gaskin, a Vicksburg, Miss. Native, is also a member of the USM women’s track team.
“We are very proud of Keiyana and this accomplishment. The $10,000 PCAOB Scholarship is a career-changer for students,” said Dr. Marvin Bouillon, Director of the School of Accountancy. “This will allow her to start her MPA program next summer with a study abroad course. That experience will be something she cherishes for the rest of her life.”
